Feburary 2012

Dear parishioner,

This coming Lent marks our 18th Annual Lenten Fish Fry at St. Kilian. Last year in our new hall, we served over 500 meals each Friday night of our Lenten Fish Fry.. This year, Easter will be celebrated on April 24th. Because of this, Fish fry 2011 will kick off on Friday, March 11th, the first Friday after Ash Wednesday. For six weeks.

We will again be serving our “home-cooked” fish dinners with you choice of beer-battered cod or grilled salmon with all the trimmings from 4:45 to 7:00 pm. Macaroni and Cheese, as well as other dishes, and home made deserts will also be available. Stations of the Cross followed by benediction will begin, in the Church, at 7:00. Rosary and the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy will follow at 7:30.

Please join us and consider volunteering your time and talents during Fish Fry 2011. Volunteer sign-ups will start after mass on Saturday, January 30th. In addition to needing your assistance on Friday evenings during dinner, we always need help preparing the food on Thursday and Friday mornings; and Friday night after dinner to help clean up the hall for the next day.

I extend a special invitation to the youth of our Parish. If you can help during those times, please sign-up and join the fun. See the Bulletin for further details.

The enclosed opportunity drawing tickets are available for a suggested $5.00 each or a booklet of 6 tickets for $25.00. This is a suggested donation. You can return the tickets and money in the offertory basket, at the Parish Center, or by mail. There will be an Early Bird drawing the evening of Friday, February 26th. The final drawing will occur during the evening of Friday, March 26th. You need not be present to win.

As always, your donations of lemons and beer and wine for this event are appreciated.

Please come and join us during this fun Parish and church building fundraiser. Mark your calendars; we hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Reverend Bruce Patterson
Pastor
